A growing D2C brand on Shopify Plus needed logic that native apps couldn't handle: split orders by warehouse zone, sync stock from an external ERP in real time, and trigger custom notifications when high-value orders land. We built a private embedded app using the Shopify Admin API, webhooks, and a Node.js backend.

Engineering the Solution
We developed a custom Shopify app with OAuth install flow, webhook handlers for orders/create and inventory_levels/update, ERP API integration with retry queues, and an admin UI embedded in Shopify for rule configuration. Deployed on AWS Lambda with Redis for idempotency.
